Look at me, doing my job like some kind of professional!!!!!!!! I’m sure it’ll wear off tomorrow. In the meantime, time travel back 30 years to 1996, when Braveheart was about to walk away with Best Picture and Best Director, Susan Sarandon would take home Best Actress for Dead Man Walking, Mira Sorvino won somewhat unexpectedly (to me) for Mighty Aphrodite, Kevin Spacey won deservedly for The Usual Suspects in a simpler time when we didn’t know he was awful (or he hadn’t yet been), and Nicolas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas) snagged the Oscar from Sean Penn. Also, I almost wrote Honeymoon In Vegas as the movie title. So much Vegas for Nic Cage! Also, it would have been AMAZING if that role had beaten Sean Penn.
