No sooner did we shudder over J.Lo resurrecting her Aughts Pants, than she threw us a curveball. I will say this for the ultra-low: at least they have a very specific, evocative point of view. These seem without one. They’re of moderate rise, moderately wide, maybe okay, mostly meh. At the same time, there’s something relatable about Jennifer Lopez, Body of Bodies, wearing a pair of forgettable pants that don’t look that great on her, but which she tossed in her bag because they were clean/are comfortable/are her emergency option. It’s quite possibly the most we have ever had in common. Eventually, meh pants truly do come for us all.
