I don’t know if the designers have any influence over where their shows fall in the couture calendar, but — be it happenstance or a cunning plan — Valentino absolutely benefited from its event being on Friday. With little else celebrity-driven for two days, Instagram was AWASH in photos of Anne Hathaway. People seemed to love this, but I have to be honest: Yes, she has fit legs, but I don’t think this is a good outfit? Let’s discuss.
Also herein: Kate Hudson, Ashley Park, and Florence Pugh, to name a few. Florence’s outfit was sheer and the nips were out, and I gather she got a lot of idiotic comments about her body on social media that prompted her to release a really good response, which I am also embedding:
Whether visible nipples are your jam or not, she made a choice she was confident in and comfortable with, and it’s super gross that a bunch of f*ckwads used that to pick apart her body. Her post is excellent and I love her. Long may she reign.
