Anna wore this extremely chipper frock to the 1990 premiere of Awakenings, a Robin Williams movie that, curiously, is not very cheerful at all (it’s about catatonic patients who wake up, and it’s a miracle, until… they go back into catatonia, and it’s not). Perhaps she felt she had to overcompensate for the subject matter. Or maybe she was feeling festive. Regardless, it’s kicky and delightful, two words I don’t usually connect with her. Look how happy she is:
