Couture Week got compressed somewhat because of the Paris Olympics looming at the end of July, and WWD reports that many of the brands got pushed out of their usual show venues — which landed Schiaparelli in the basement of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, with what Daniel Roseberry referred to as “Degas lighting.” It’s REALLY effective with some of these outfits. This first photo is haunting, and that’s a compliment.
