I haven’t seen any reviews yet of Elle — it’s too early I think, although maybe after this premiere any embargos will lift — but it’s certainly getting a lot of fanfare. I hope it’s delightful. Lexi got a custom Betsey Johnson gown for the big night, and she turned in something that feels very much like something somebody’s rich parents would commission for a Sweet 16, or a pink-themed debutante ball. It’s not fashionable and it’s not funky, but neither is Elle, although she might not like to hear it.
