If you’ve read Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series — and you should, it’s delightful — you probably know that they’re making a Netflix series based on it, and Helen Mirren is playing Elizabeth. This is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CASTING — what a delight when the casting for a project feels so correct. She’s not promoting that here, this is the premiere of the new Guy Richie flick Mobland, which also looks like a movie I will really enjoy on a plane. But I can’t let the chance to mention Thursday Murder Club go by — and Mirren certainly looks like a former M16 agent, or, at the very least, a woman who will probably nab you for whatever crime you committed here. As she should.
