This post is by reader request! But, let’s be honest, I was always going to write this one. We usually run the tartan-themed shopping round-up closer to Christmas, but….why not now and then? There are always a lot of plaid items on offer for fall, but this particular fall feels…extra plaid. Boden, for example, has absolutely gone for it this season; I am obsessed with this coat. (Is that technically plaid? I guess it’s sort of a check, but…close enough. They also have a dress AND a little shearling jacket AND a skirt in the same pattern, plus a ton of other plaids. These shoes!!!) LL Bean has the classic plaid flannel shirt in a ton of colors right now. Do you maybe need a black watch plaid cape? (You do.) And if you have the time and inclination, and want a wool plaid skirt for fall, Etsy is a TREASURE TROVE of vintage. Just make sure you measure twice!
