Every summer, I announce to my husband that we’ve having a FUN SUMMER, come hell or high water. (Nothing is more fun that threats.) Like Kyle from Summer House, I feel strongly that summer should be FUN. And in all caps, apparently. Sometimes — most times, probably, even — we have to make our own fun. And therefore! I bring you cute things for the pool or the beach! A miniature pool for your desk! Stuff for picnics, like these amazingly cute melamine dishes! This margarita-shaped insulated drink holder! (It even has a rim for salt if you want it.) Fantastic folding cabana chairs! (You can get one in the Scalamandre zebras or in the Beverly Hills Hotel banana palm fabrics, among others.) Cute bathing suits! Beach towels! A child’s snorkel mask that makes them look like a shark! A pool noodle that looks like a banana! A floatie that looks like a watermelon slice! A sprinkler toy that looks like a mermaid’s tail! GET OUT THERE AND ENJOY YOURSELF, I’M FORCING YOU.
