Amal Clooney and her husband, noted ineffectual blog intern George Clooney, started the Clooney Foundation for Justice in 2016. But George has been pretty low-key and out of the limelight for a big chunk of that time; him having a movie to promote right now really does add some fuel to all the other endeavors. Like, I believe Julia Roberts is a friend of his, and I also believe JULIA!!! would be chilling at home in Malibu or Taos right now if they weren’t on the promo trail for George and JULIA!!! Do a Rom-Com. And the more A-listers you have on board, the more will come — and come they did, in the forms of Jodie Turner-Smith (in Christian Siriano!), Drew Barrymore, and Tracee Ellis Ross. It’s sort of like how they say an author’s new book gives a sales boost to their back catalog. So good, go forth and boost it, George. You can take tomorrow off. AGAIN.
