Okay, I’m not TOTALLY sure whether this is Apple’s red-carpet debut, but I’m fairly sure it is, based on the photos available to us — and even if it isn’t, it has to be the most major one she’s ever done. Between this, walking in a fashion show, her Gap ads with mom, and her very recent solo Self Portrait campaign, clearly the gods have decided Apple needs a direction, and the public eye is it. She’s wearing a Calvin Klein that Gwyneth donned for the Emma premiere in 1996, a classically GOOP outfit from that era, back when she was considered the most exciting up-and-comer in town. That cannot be a coincidence. It’s pointed. It’s storytelling. It’s vibes. Well, except for the ping-pong paddle shooting out of her thighs, but no one could have foretold that.
