Yesterday on Twitter, I was lamenting that I keep seeing all these beautiful-looking (and sounding) fancy seasonal cocktails — more warming than my basic summer Pimm’s or Moscow Mule — but so many of them revolve around bourbon, which I don’t typically like. But perhaps I could LEARN to, right? The same way I learned to like Brussels sprouts on their own after this salad recipe and then also cooking them with bacon enough times. Palates can be changed. I DEEM IT THUS.

Anyway, it got me thinking that we should have a Fug Nation Recommends post all about your favorite go-to bevs — be they leaded, or unleaded — and/or the drinks that taught you that you don’t actually hate the thing you thought you did.
