First of all, and of utmost importance: Kate’s hair looks GREAT in Pakistan.

Second, we had a very full day for the Cambridges today, and I’d personally like to thank them for going somewhere where the time change is such that they’re already done with whatever shenanigans they’ve gotten up to by the time I get into my office in the morning. (I also need to give massive thanks to Christin Zi, on Twitter, who is doing a great job of corralling an enormous amount of information during this trip.) On the docket today: a visit to a girls school in Islamabad; a trip to the Margalla Hills to “set up a leopard camera trap,” which I assume is, uh, something that tricks leopards into posing for sassy photos; a meeting with Pakistan’s president, Arif Alvi and its Prime Minister Imran Khan (who was a good friend of Princess Diana); and, finally, a reception at the (very dramatic!) Pakistan National Monument in Islamabad, that the British High Commissioner is throwing.

I have to say: Kate is GOING FOR IT, and I am enjoying it. And so…did William?!  Today brought us local designers, a VERY sparkly Jenny Packham evening gown, and also an incredibly charming rickshaw.

Kate’s dress is PRETTY. That Jenny Packham is pretty good at stuff.
