This entire situation looks like it was highly romantic. There is kissing, there’s gazing, there is hand-holding, there’s A BOAT RIDE, and there are more giant shiny tiaras here than I can even begin to handle. (Order of Splendor — much missed!! — did a terrific rundown of them all.) This wedding was also held on the same date as Victoria’s parents’ wedding, which is another romantic touch. Two rulers, married on the same day, has a lot of dramatic elan, as fun facts go.
Also, Prince Daniel’s speech at the reception — which was televised, I think? — is EXTREMELY touching and, yes, I cried a little:
