It’s a surprise to exactly no one that Lady Gaga picked a massive skirt for the beginning of what many had assumed would be a golden awards-season run (but which last night yielded no fruit for anything but “Shallow” from A Star Is Born). It’s always a thrill when other people make large choices, too, though, even if they’re not always successful. I would include Lady Gaga’s in that category, too, actually. HOT TAKE? Probably. Also, yes, we took some liberties with the concept of “Big.” Sometimes it means a poofy skirt, sometimes it means “bigger than they usually wear,” and sometimes it’s about the aura.
