Laurence & Chico is a Canadian line that is relatively new to the game — about two and a half years old, I think — and the stuff coming down the runway in New York here is basically Jeremy Scott mixed with the oddest of the couture shows. It’s a married couple that also runs a cafe in Vancouver, which is… somehow tied to their kooky aesthetic? Fashionista attempted to tell me all about it. Anyway, it’s one of those shows that shoots for pageantry over practicality but could be distilled into a single fun piece, and it’s a cheerfully bonkers addition to New York Fashion Week.

Oh, and guess who walked the runway, and then apparently offered commentary during the show? Miss J. Alexander. Yeah, I buried the lede on that one.
